Summary:

Step 1

Hola! Today we're on track to develop perseverance.

Think about Chris Gardner from the movie, 'Pursuit of Happyness' that you were meant to watch in Day 11. You watched the movie, right?

If not, then continue on with the steps. Try to catch the film later. It's worth the watch.

If yes, then consider the desire and the action that got Chris what he always wanted.

Whether you saw the film or not, consider your desires for your future.

What positive desire do you have, and what action are you pursuing that takes you toward your vision to fulfill that desire?

Step 2

Mr. Gardner never dreamed he would be a failure. His dream was of being a success and a good father. His destiny was in becoming the man he wanted both he and his son to respect.

Why is that so important?

If we live a life where we simply react to our circumstances, it tends to strip us of our freedom, our dignity, our respect and our sense of worth. As we gaze upon something bigger, it starts to lift us up. It begins to change our reality.

As our hope grows, it influences the people around us and even has a positive impact upon our present situation.

What level of confidence do you have to take the steps needed to pursue your destiny?

Step 3

Again no one said achieving your dreams would be easy. At the same time, is it all that easy to stay where you are now?

Then what do you have to lose? Seriously, what do you have to lose?

Step 4

What do you have to gain?

Step 5

Where's your focus right now and where does it need to be?

Step 6

Your challenge today is to overcome what makes you most nervous about continuing on toward your dreams.

It could be:
* Friends or a Fear of Rejection - Peer pressure or worries that say you must conform to a lower standard
* Money - Visit a college campus and talk to a Financial Aid officer about funding for books and tuition and see if they'll help you complete the applications. (They may if you're really nice and seem motivated to succeed.) They can also point you toward campus jobs to pay for extra bills, and they can help you find ways to eat on campus for free.
* Work - Find a job in a better work environment if you're not already in one
* Mind Chatter - Catch the negative phrases that loop in your mind and flip them to positive ones

You get the idea. Whatever is in your way, find the conviction and the solution to overturn it. If you feel blocked, reach out to us in the Publisher's space at the bottom of the page. Also reach out to your peers in your Campfire and/or Campsite.

You might not win the first round. Keep going. This is time for perseverance. The victory will only be sweeter.

What will you do right now?
