Summary: Making disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Step 1

Welcome, this Course, or ‘Map’, consists of two short Trails (Part 1 & Part 2), both will appear on your Day Plan today.

This training is designed to equip you to successfully enter the market of 'The Economy of the Kingdom of God'.

Are you ready to begin?

Step 2

Let's start with a simple question: who is the smartest person you have encountered in your life (through books, school, in person etc.)?

Write down your answer.

Step 3

If you were somehow able to meet that person and he or she gave you specific advice that you agreed with, what are the chances that you would do exactly what they suggested?

Step 4

For example, if this person said that it was critical that you put your other priorities aside and take their advice right away, how important would it be for you to do so?

Step 5

Being very honest, what is the last thing you believe God asked of you?

Write it down.

Step 6

How would you rate your ability to follow through on what you believe God was asking of you?

Step 7

How important was it to do what the Lord was asking of you in the timeframe you believe He was asking for?

Step 8

What does the contrast between your answers in Steps 3 & 4 and your answers in Steps 6 & 7 reveal about your current relationship with Jesus?

Step 9

Read John 10:27:

"My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me."

Do you agree that followers of Jesus listen and follow Him?

Step 10

How well do you hear Jesus (though scripture, prayer, prophetic utterances, etc.)?

Step 11

How often do you follow through on what you hear in a timely manner?

Step 12

Read Mathew 7:21-23:

"Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

Do you agree that a person can appear to be worshipping God, know His word and even be "in service" to Him, but still not truly know Him or be doing His will?

Step 13

What are the implications of Matthew 7:21-23 in your walk with Jesus? Be specific.

Step 14

Read the following quote form C.S. Lewis's book, 'The Great Divorce' regarding hearing and following Jesus:

“There are only two kinds of people in the end: those who say to God, "Thy will be done," and those to whom God says, in the end, "Thy will be done." All that are in Hell, choose it. Without that self-choice there could be no Hell. No soul that seriously and constantly desires joy will ever miss it. Those who seek find. Those who knock it is opened.”

Do you agree? What are your thoughts?

Step 15

Well done, you just completed the first leg of the course!

When you are ready, proceed to the next and final Trail titled "Relationship with Jesus Part 2".
